Ismael López Dobarganes is an author and president and co-founder of the Gaia Sanctuary Foundation, the animal sanctuary with the most followers in the world. He has dedicated most of his life to animals and the defense of their rights, having started as coordinator in the Balearic Islands of an animal rights non-profit organization, and then founding the Sanctuary, a shelter for animals considered victims of exploitation, mistreatment or abandonment.
