Lesley Gill

Scenic rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Duke University Press. 

Lesley Gill is an author and professor of anthropology at Vanderbilt University (USA). She was a visiting professor at the University of East Anglia in England and worked at the American University of Washington.

She is currently a member of the editorial board of Dialectical Anthropology. Dr. Gill’s research in Latin America focuses on political violence and human rights, among others, conducting research in Bolivia, Colombia and the United States.

In her work, The School of the Americas, Lesley Gill captures exclusive, first-hand information from her experience within the institution. It is an unprecedented investigation that brings to light previously untold facts about the reality of the school. Gill was one of the voices that advocated for the closure of the school.
