Lisa de Nikolits is an author from South Africa. The writer graduated in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of the Witwatersrand. In addition to her work as a writer, de Nikolits has worked as an art director in renowned publications such as Marie Claire, Vogue and Hello!

The autor has lived in the United States, Australia, and Great Britain, but in 2000 she moved to Canada, where her literature has become greatly popular. De Nikolits has written novels, short stories, and poetry, which have been published in various anthologies and magazines.



Lisa de Nikolits has been called “the Queen of Canadian speculative fiction” by the famous blog and bookstore All Lit Up. Her works have been recommended on many lists by some popular Canadian publications such as CBC, Hello! Canada, 49th Shelf, and Open Book.

The author has received numerous international awards, such as the Independent Publisher Book Awards, which she has won on several occasions, and the bronze medal from the Poetry Institute of Canada. She has also been a finalist for the Next Generation Indie Book Awards, the International Book Awards, and she’s been nominated for the Sunburst Awards and the ReLit Awards, among others.
