Manuel Avilés Gómez is a writer and regular guest to different media, such as Onda Cero Alicante, 12 digital de Alicante and Es Diario. He was an official of the Special Corps of Penitentiary Institutions; deputy director of management of the Fontcalent Center in Alicante and director of the Nanclares de la Oca Penitentiary Center in Álava, among other positions. In addition, he has given lectures and courses on crime, terrorism and prison management at various universities around the world.
