BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE:

Maximiliano Barrientos was born in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, in 1979. He is one of the most relevant Latin American writers of his generation.

RELEVANT INFORMATION:

His articles on literature, music, and film, as well as some of his chronicles, have appeared in Bolivia’s main magazines and cultural supplements. In 2009, his short story collection “Diario” received the National Literature Prize of Santa Cruz. His first two books, “Los daños” (2006) and “Hoteles” (2007), were reviewed, corrected, and transformed into the volumes “Fotos tuyas cuando empiezas a envejecer” and “Hoteles,” published by Periférica in 2011 with great critical success and in the process of being translated into various languages.
