Petr Stancík

Scenic Rights is the exclusive audiovisual co-agency of Prague literary agency.

Petr Stančík was born in 1968 in a Czech town named Rychnov nad Kněžnou. He studied at the Faculty of Education in Hradec Králové, majoring in Czech language and art education.

Until 1989, he alternated several jobs, besides working in a brewery. He worked as a television director and has made a living as a creator and consultant in the field of commercial and non-commercial communication. For his work, he won Nutcracker award 9 times for the most creative Czech advertisement. He has been a freelance writer since 2016.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

He was awarded by Magnesia Litera for prose (the most renowm Czech award), and his works are often translated to Spanish and Hungarian.

He is known and appreciated mainly for his brilliant imagination and fantasy, but also for encyclopaedical knowledge of the history.

He wrote over a dozen of novels, a couple of poetry books, more than 20 books for children and several radio plays.
