Sebas Martín

Sebas Martín is a Spanish cartoonist and illustrator, regarded as one of the great pioneers of LGBTQ+ graphic novels in Spain.

After working in various fields, he devoted his professional life fully to comics in the late 1990s. Since then, he has published numerous works both as an author and illustrator. He has also written and illustrated for various magazines such as Shangay, Zero, and El Observador, and has created comic strips for different companies and media outlets.

In addition, he has collaborated on several campaigns in support of LGBTQ+ rights and has shared his expertise as a teacher in various art schools.

Sebas Martín is considered one of the leading figures in contemporary Spanish comics in general, and LGBTQ+ graphic novels in particular.

His work has been acclaimed by both readers and professional critics, and his autofiction saga Estoy en ello (“I’m Working on It”) is regarded as a classic of gay comics. He has also been awarded the Casal Lambda Comedy Prize and the Serra i Moret Award.
