Grapefruit and Lemon (Pomelo y limón)

The love between two teenagers fires up all social media and gossip magazines.

Through María’s messages and drawings on her social media, Grapefruit and Lemon tells the atypical love story between Jorge and María. Born in the spotlight, they are the daughter and son of two huge celebrities… and fall madly in love with each other. However, their mothers’ fame is a major obstacle for their privacy. As much as they fight the constant harassment of paparazzi, they cannot avoid all sorts of gossip by the press and social media. They both have to learn how to handle their first love relationship, let alone the constant posts by uniformed people who destroy their peace and intimacy, and are witness to their evolution as a couple.

This story is a campaign for privacy. The narrator shows how the media harassment affects Jorge and María’s relationship, their way of seeing the world; and how they manage to overcome every obstacle by understanding that nobody should tell their story on their behalf, but themselves. Only by seeing how normal these teenagers are, and that they actually lead very normal lives is the narrator able to make them a more invisible, and therefore give them the privacy they deserve.
