Lluvia discovers her father’s adventures.
Lluvia is the daughter of the famous explorer Horacio Kustos. Her mother, Nieve, is a young woman who has just moved with her daughter to a new city. As migrants, both mother and daughter face prejudices and difficulties.
Lluvia is a sweet girl whose life seems normal: she goes to school and doesn’t quite fit in, finds a loyal new friend, and adores her mother. She believes her father abandoned them, and that he is lying about being an explorer. Until one day, when she witnesses the miraculous appearance of a letter from another place and another time. From that moment on, something extraordinary happens from time to time. She isn’t exactly sure how, but she receives letters and messages from her father.
Lluvia will try to search for answers in her father’s letters, sharing her secret with her new friend, and discovering incredible stories and adventures in those letters from her father’s many voyages to other worlds.
RELEVANT DATA: Alberto Chimal is one of the main authors of Ibero-American fantasy literature. Kustos is the great character of his career, and the author has created a whole universe around this character, including this spin-off whose protagonist is Kustos’ daughter.
Chimal’s novels have received numerous acknowledgements: he has won the San Luis Potosí and Colima Narrative Award twice, the “Sizigias” Narrative Award, the Mexican Literature Award, the Cuatrogatos Foundation Award, was a finalist for the Rómulos Gallegos Award, and was selected for the prestigious White Ravens.
