Maribel and the strange family

Maribel is a prostitute who meets Marcelino, a young naive man who is looking for a girl to marry so he can overcome a tragic event of his past. He lives with his aunt, Paula, and his mother, Matilde, two charming and clever ladies. Marcelino, fully in love with Maribel, accommodates her in his house with his family. There, everyone takes her in innocently, unconscious of her true occupation. And so begins a story of secrets in a sitcom style.

Mihura wrote the scripts of more than twenty-five movies, among which stands out Welcome Mr. Marshall, film directed by Luis García Berlanga in 1952.
