Berta, a mature and good working woman, has to take care of her three nephews, Mario, Raul and Bea, after their mother’s death. Berta´s nephews are problematic young people, being a part of the skinhead movement and involved in criminal activities. With Eduardo, a police inspector who is about to retire, coming into Berta´s life, everything will change. With the evolution of Berta and Eduardo´s love life, the attitude of her nephews will get worse.

 

RELEVANT FACTS: The play was brought to the big screen in 2001, directed by Carlos Molinero. The movie won the Goya Award for best adapted screenplay.

José Luis Alonso de Santos has received numerous prizes for his work as a writer and as a director such as the National Theatre Prize and the MAX Theatre Award. He is presently the most acclaimed playwright in Spain and outside of Spain.
