The memories of more than thirty years come through Ignasi Delamo’s mind, Colonel of the Republican Army’s Medical Department, before drawing his last breath after being wounded. They are different fragments of his life around the “Sea Horses” house since he met in 1907 the aristocrat Violaine, who he loved in a platonic way as well as her daughter later on. In thirty scenes with no chronological order, we get to learn about his love life and his relationships with friends and family, all of it portraying, in a historical fashion, the city of Valencia: the beginning of the economical and urban development of the 20th century and the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939).
