Sherlock Holmes, the Newest Adventures

According to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the brilliant detective Sherlock Holmes died in Niagara Falls during his confrontation with Doctor Moriarty. According to Enrique Jardiel Poncela, Holmes survived the waterfalls, retired, got tired of retirement, and now investigates cases in London with Jardiel himself as an assistant. Sherlock Holmes, The Newest Adventures is a sitcom of twenty-five minutes based on the homonymous work of Jardiel Poncela where, in self-conclusive chapters full of genius, show the different cases that Sherlock Holmes and Harry Jardiel have to solve, some raised by the own Jardiel and other home grown. All this, seasoned with the deafness and the mistrust of Mrs. Palmer, the evil plans of Doctor Moriarty and the sweeping charm of the lady – and lyrical singer – Irene Adler. A hilarious version of the Holmes myth fills with absurd and suspenseful humor.
