The Brigade (La Brigada) – Original Project

During the Spanish Civil War – from 1936 to 1939 – there were volunteer soldiers from different countries. Among all these volunteers, there was one brigade formed by the Americans that cannot be forgotten: The Lincoln Brigade. The Brigade tells the story of these heroes that gave their lives fighting for freedom. This series of thirteen episodes is based on the most part in the lives of seven characters – six American soldiers and a Spanish interpreter – through whom we will explore three years of the Civil War: From the writer Steve Eisner, to the medic Noah Carter, and joker private Tony Vitelli. The Brigade is a series about human beings to whom history gave no choice but to become heroes.
