The Dean’s death (La muerte del decano)

When the habitual suspect is the victim.

The Dean of the Faculty of Arts just died in unclear circumstances. All the evidence surrounding the event suggests that it is a murder, and the principal suspect is a disciple and colleague of the professor. The cause of the crime seems to be passionate. Supposedly the dean was in love with the wife of his disciple and this, victim of jealousy, would have ended the life of the teacher. But the evidence does not hold up and the idea of suicide begins to shuffle. Nevertheless, the strong character and the personality of the Dean do not agree with that of a man desperate to that limit.

RELEVANT FACTS: Torrente Ballester approaches the genre of detective novel with the perspective of a classic writer and at the same time as a modern writer, that surprises with the agility of the developments of the plot. In the end, there are several hypotheses about the death of Dean, not who killed him, but who was the moral guilty of the murder.
