The Four M’s Club (El club de las cuatro emes)

Four entertaining little detectives.

Madame Golosín (Candy), the evil owner of the neighborhood knick-knack store, seems to hate both her job and children. She always dreamed of something more, like living in Paris and knowing how to speak French. Matilde, Manuel and the two Marias are ten years old, and they get into all kinds of mischief, like changing the price of the sweets or messing up the magazines in her store… And Madame Golosín scolds them everytime. One day, the kids decide to teach her a lesson. To do so, they create a secret club and name it The Four M´s Club.

While planning their revenge, they find out that Madame Golosín’s husband, whom they nicknamed Mesié Lasurrí because of his mouse-like face, behaves strangely and keeps a rather suspicious company.

After an arduous investigation and hours of observation, they discover that Mesié Lasurri has a gambling problem that has led to his wife’s bankruptcy. Thus, the Four M´s Club decide to plan a prank, together with Madame Golosín, to scare Mesié Lasurri and get him to stop his gambling problem. Although he changes his attitude at first, he soon goes back to his old ways and Madame Golosín decides to leave him.

A mix of suspense and humor, the story flows into a narrative in which nothing is what it seems and the unexpected tends to happen.
