The Night Shall Be Long Saga (Saga Será larga la noche)

The country is being ravaged with violence.

In The Night Shall Be Long, a child witnesses a murder that occurred on an abandoned highway in Cauca, Colombia. That same day, every bit of evidence from the disaster was erased so that not the slightest trace is left behind. In the nearest town, no one claims to have heard anything about the incident. However, thanks to an anonymous report of the crime, a prosecutor in Bogotá will begin its investigation.

Journalist Julieta Lezama and Johana, her helper and a former RAFC soldier, will be in charge of finding out what exactly has happened. To do so, they must enter the dark and cryptic world of Christian churches, something that is extremely rooted in Latin American culture.

In Colombian Psycho, Human bones appear in La Calera, a housing development in the hills of Bogota. Prosecutor Edilson Jutsiñamuy will be in charge of investigating the crime, with the help of agent Laiseca and his team. Also joining the investigation will be journalist Julieta Lezama, a strong and independent woman with a troubled personal history. Between the both of them they will unravel the events surrounding this mysterious death. The case will lead Julieta to meet the writer Santiago Gamboa and get to know his work. Here she will find a definitive clue to solve the mystery, in a meta-narrative twist. In addition, the search for the identity of the body will lead them to discover the actions of various groups that threaten peace. We meet Johanna, a demobilized FARC member, and a strong and charismatic woman with a different vision of reality.

In the end, the characters will come to the conclusion that humanity will sacrifice anything, even human lives, in order to succeed.
