Julia Montejo

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency  of Julia Montejo.

Julia Montejo graduated in Journalism by the University of Navarra, and thanks to a scholarship she was given, she could study two Masters Degrees on Cinematographic Scriptwriting, Production and Direction at the University of California.

Montejo has published several novels, such as Violetas para Olivia (Violets for Olivia) and Los abrazos oscuros (The Dark Hugs). Both of them were highly recommended by the critics.

Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that Julia Montejo worked for eight years in Los Angeles as scriptwriter and director in a series of TV programs and cinematographic projects. She currently lives in Madrid, where she intercalates her job as University professor with scriptwriting. She has worked in famous Spanish TV series such as Siete vidas (Seven Lives), Cuestión de sexo (A Matter of Sex) and Gavilanes (Gabions).

 

RELEVANT INFO.

Julia Montejo has been awarded numerous times for her audiovisual projects. The most important one was the ALMA Award to the Best Independent Latino Film with No Turning Back.

Her literary works have been acquired by several editorials and translated in different countries such as Italy, France and Canada.
