Alejandra Maldonado

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of VF literary agency. 

Alejandra Maldonado, born in Mexico, wanted to dedicate her life to dance and music from a very young age but, in the end, she studied Audiovisual Communications at the University Claustro de Sor Juana, in Mexico City.

She published her first story when she was 17, in the literary magazine Moho, where she also worked as an editor. In the year 2003, she got a job as a copywriter at an advertising agency, as well as a scholarship from FONCA, the National Endowment for Culture and Arts. From that moment on, Maldonado has worked for a variety of magazines, such as Playboy, Vice or Yaconic, and in anthologies, too.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

The author’s literary work, especially her book Yoga y Coca, has received great critical acclaim. The magazine Newsweek has named Maldonado “one of the most notable writers in Mexican literature.”
