Fernando J. Múñez

Fernando J. Múñez is a Spanish writer. At just 14 years of age, he began to write his first novel, and at the ripe age of 18, he had already written many film scripts. He studied Philosophy and, after graduating, he began a career  in marketing, whilst also directing his first short films. He ended up completing his academic training in Cinematography in the United States.
In 2002, he funded a studio dedicated to creating books for publishing houses. From that point on, he has published over fifty novels.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

In 2012, Múñez directed the film Las Nornas, presented at the Alicante Film Festival and the Seminci de Valladolid Festival in Spain.

He is the author of the best-selling novel La cocinera de Castamar, adapted to a television format by Buendía Estudios. Since its broadcast, it has made it on to the list of most watched national series in 2021 in Spain, gathering more than 2.4 million viewers on free-to-air television and even more on DVR after it had been broadcasted. In addition, it was on the Top 10 most watched series on Netflix in Spain for several weeks.
