Jesús Duva

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co agency of Alrevés.

Duva’s work is influenced by his education as a graduate in Communication Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid. He worked for the newspaper Pueblo and later became the head of the crime section at the newspaper Ya. Since 1987, he has been working for El País, where he is the editor-in-chief of the Sunday supplement, as well as a professor of Research and Journalism at the El País School of Journalism. Beyond the field of investigation, Duva is an experienced author and editor. He has written several books on crime and criminal psychology.

Duva’s strength lies in unearthing forgotten narratives, giving voice to the voiceless. His focus often falls on the darker chapters of Spanish history; his investigative journalism has illuminated corners of Spain rarely seen.

But Duva doesn’t limit himself to historical exposés. He dissects contemporary Spain with equal acuity, tackling everything from political corruption to social injustices.
