Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Juan Carlos Rubio.

Juan Carlos Rubio was born in Montilla, Córdoba. After graduating in Textual Interpretation at the Royal School of Dramatic Art in 1992, he combined his work as an actor and TV presenter with writing television scripts like Farmacia de Guardia, Pepa y Pepe, Más que amigos, Manos a la obra, Ellas son así, A las once en casa or Adolfo Suárez, el Presidente. He has also written successful plays and several screenplays like El calentito, Retorno a Hansala or Bon appétit.

His plays have been performed in American countries such as Peru, Chile, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Argentina and the United States. In Europe his works have been performed in Greece, Slovakia, the United Kingdom and Italy. The play Las heridas del viento, premiered in New York, was candidate to five ACE awards of the Association of Show Chroniclers, including Best Performance.

In 2013, he won the Lope de Vega Award for the play Shakespeare nunca estuvo aquí, co-written with Yolanda García Serrano and the Broadwayworld Spain Award for best musical for Esta noche no estoy para nadie.
