Luis Leante

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Edebé Publishing House.

Prolific Spanish writer of diverse literary genres, such as short stories, novels, poetry, essays or articles. He has also written screenplays for cinema and some of his short stories have been adapted to cinema.

Graduated in Classical Philology by the Universidad de Murcia, he worked for over 15 years as Latin teacher in a high school. He has been a professor of Audiovisual Communication. Currently, he directs creative writing workshops, as well as working as a writer and editor.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Leante has published over 25 works: short stories, plays and novels. His work has been translated into more than twenty languages, such as English, German, Italian, French, Danish or Polish, among others.

He has received many prestigious awards throughout his career, such as the Edebé Young Adult Literature Award twice, this last time in 2020 for his novel Ways of living (Maneras de vivir), the Alfaguara Novel Award, the Hache Award, and the Mandarache Young Readers Award, the Short Novel Barbastro City Award and the Noir Novel Rodrigo Rubio Award, among others.
