Macaria España

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co-agency of Nitro Press Publishing House.

Macaria España is a Mexican journalist, teacher, and writer. She is the author of various novels and dozens of texts that are included in anthologies. She has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Guanajuato University. She has worked as a reporter, screenwriter, and teacher, and is the founder of Letróxico, a creative writing lab. Her academic activity has led her to give lectures both in and out of the country. She has given lectures, publishing house presentations and literary workshops in different fairs and forums.

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Macaria España has received numerous literary acknowledgments as a writer, such as being a finalist at the “Cuento Palabras Malditas” Contest and obtained Special Mention at the León Literature Awards. 

Macaria has been published in various regional newspapers and has received support from the Stimulus for Artistic Creation and Development Program in the category Creators with Trajectory. She also received the scholarship for Young Creators from the National Fund for Culture and the Arts and was given the Journalistic Production scholarship from the International Center for Journalists for one of her investigative works.
