María Paulina Camejo is a young Venezuelan writer, who began her literary career at the age of 19 writing short stories, while she was in her third year of the Arts degree at the Andrés Bello Catholic University. When she was 20 years old, she left his country and went to Miami, where she began to write her first novel, Beatriz Decided Not to Marry and, after obtaining her degree as a graduate in History of Art and Hispanic Literature in December 2014, she wrote her second novel, The Complicated Loves of the Valverde Sisters.

In September of 2015, HarperCollins publishers decided to publish their two novels, making María Paulina the youngest Hispanic author published by this publishing label. Both novels are published in the Spanish language and an edition in Italian is being developed, less than a year after its first publication, after having exceeded the sales projections.
