Raquel Castro

Scenic Rights is the audiovisual co agency of VF Literary Agency.

Raquel Castro is a writer, screenwriter, translator and journalist. She studied Journalism and Collective Communication at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Since then, she has published several Children and Young Adult novels, as well as many stories included in anthologies. Previously, she worked at the National Institute of Fine Arts organizing book presentations, talks, conferences and literary awards. She currently works in the historical archive of Jewish Documentation and Research Center of Mexico. She also has a weekly column where she writes about Young Adult and Children´s literature in La Jornada newspaper titled País de maravillas. 

 

RELEVANT INFORMATION

Raquel Castro has published more than 10 novels and is especially known for her writing included in Children’s and Young Adult literature. She was awarded the Gran Angular Award for Young Adult literature and the National Journalism Award by the team at Channel 11.
