Elena is a fifteen-year-old girl from the capital who goes to spend a few days in the village where her Uncle Abelardo lives, a beekeeper for whom bees are the most important thing in the world. Although Elena is not used to life in the countryside and hates bees, she loves being near her uncle, who has thousands of stories to tell. One of the stories has Elena especially captivated: the story of Amelia, her uncle’s first love.
One day, Elena meets Ambrosio, a boy from the village who seems to have a special gift when it comes to bees. Little by little they will begin to have feelings for each other, in a beautiful story of first love that intermingles with her uncle Abelardo’s memories with Amelia. Amelia and Ambrosio both shared a special sensitivity that allowed them to communicate with the bees. When he was little, a swarm attacked him, but Amelia arrived and removed the bees with her bare hands, without being stung. From then on Amelia and Ambrosio became inseparable, until the day Amelia died.
A story in which the lives of both the characters and the bees intertwine, showing humans and nature as a whole.
