Doctor Moraleda’s Murder

This play is set in the colonial era. In 1890, the Portuguese militarily advance on Angola and Mozambique with the excuse of the death of Dr. Moraleda, a scientist who was studying aboriginal people in the area. The Portuguese State officially appoints a fact-finding commission, although, at the same time, puts in charge Colonel da Silva and Mr. Medina to obstruct the work of the commission in order to hide certain uncomfortable truths. Like the fact that Dr. Moraleda is not as dead as they think. Meanwhile, the English government tries to oppose this Portuguese expansionist zeal… War is on the cards.
