Argon’s Shot (El disparo de Argón)

The priority is not to cure, but to sell.

Antonio Suárez, fake disciple of the famous Catalan ophthalmologist Barraquer, founds an eye hospital in Mexico. The building aims at improving vision and health. But this ideal happens in a Mexico where organ trafficking is one of the versions of the informal economy. Suárez cannot be found; the great prophet of vision has become invisible. His disciple, Fernando Balmes, must find the thread that leads him to his master.

Everything that happens before his eyes is subdued to the ophthalmologist’s rigor until something clouds his horizon: a woman alters the crystal with which he looks at the world and a plot of shadows takes him into a country in which the emergency is not to cure the eyes, but to sell them.
