The romantic novel becomes a crime novel
It's winter and in an isolated summer sea house some family members get together to spend a few days: Isabel, famous best-selling fiction author, her husband, Pablo; their daughter, Esperanza, and Pilar, Isabel’s sister. The breaking news is that the protagonist wants to abandon her career as a best-selling fiction author (a dangerous decision for the family’s economy) to start writing “important” literature. This unchains a series of events (in which a fifth character, Doctor Jaume Robert, takes part) that gets resolved as thrillers do: with an unexpected death.
