The Carnivorous Gods (Los dioses carnívoros)

Damián Ferrer has just been fired from the comfortable job that he had for more than twenty years. This is compounded by his recent divorce and the almost non-existent relationship with his teenage daughter. When he is offered a modest job as a janitor in a downtown building in the capital of the Levant where he lives, he does not think twice: he is willing to accept any job that is easy and hassle-free, since at his fifties he does not have much more of opportunities in life.

However, his new job brings him much more than mere tranquility: he starts to receive strange gifts and threatening messages. Damián begins to investigate the origin of these threats with the doctor of the building where he works, Alicia, with whom he maintains a tug-of-war relationship. Together they introduce themselves in what at first seems to be an unimportant coincidence, but that quickly transforms into a maelstrom of harassment and mental games that lead Damián to know the lowest facet of the human being.
