The Stolen Hours (Las horas robadas)

Naïve love. Broken love. And a clandestine love which remains over time.

In the late 1970s, after Franco’s death, Spain was living a time of chaos. These were years in which big changes started to be made.

Roberto’s family is affectionate, respectful, progressive and well educated. The family of his best friend Ramón is completely the opposite: they are very conservative, and men are the ones ruling the family.

Roberto’s life unexpectedly changes in April 1979, when he finds the dead body of his grandfather, Anselmo. It was a natural death, but the man was holding a mysterious message that reads “Tell me that you love me”. From that moment on, Roberto will discover the magnificent love story of his grandfather Anselmo and Carmen, Ramón’s grandmother.

The audience will dive in the daily lives of these two opposite families, the growth of the teenagers and their different education. We will dwell in Ramón and Roberto’s personal love stories and their sentimental evolution.
