Eva García Sáenz de Urturi is a Spanish writer. She graduated in Optics and Optometry, and she worked in the optics field for ten years. She has also devoted some of her life to teaching as a professor at University of Alicante.

Eva García Sáenz de Urturi is a winner of the prestigious Planeta Awards thanks to her novel Aquitania. This historical thriller is based on real events, as it takes inspiration from the life of Queen Leonor de Aquitania.

The author has been selected by the magazine Yo Dona as one of the most influential women in culture, and she has received numerous awards such as the Golden Buller Zloty Pocisk Award for Best Foreign Noir Novel, the Ser de Álava Award conceded by Cadena Ser, and the Alavesa of the Month Award. Furhtermore, El Corte Inglés has granted one of her novels the title of Fiction Book of the Year.

Her books have been a sales and critical success, with over a million copies sold, and they’ve been translated to more than ten languages. Some of them have been featured multiple times in Amazon’s bestseller list and other international rankings.
