Juan Gómez-Jurado is a journalist and writer, regarded as one of the most influential voices in contemporary Spanish-language literature. His work has sparked an unprecedented sales phenomenon in Spain and has established him as one of the Spanish authors with the greatest international reach, with publications in more than forty countries and translations into multiple languages.

His novel Red Queen became the most-read book in Spain for two consecutive years, reaching more than three million readers. Its success led to a Prime Video television adaptation, which debuted at number one in Spain and reached number two in the United States. The project has three confirmed seasons.

The Red Queen universe has cemented Gómez-Jurado’s status as one of the most popular authors in today’s publishing landscape, with millions of copies sold. This new saga will also be adapted for the screen by Amazon Studios, which is developing a cinematic franchise based on his books.

Another of his works, Scar, was also adapted as an international series, reaffirming his ongoing presence at the intersection of literature and screen.

Before dedicating himself fully to writing, Gómez-Jurado worked for some of Spain’s leading media outlets, including Cadena SER, COPE, Radio España, Canal Plus, TVE, ABC, and La Voz de Galicia.

Renowned for his ability to innovate within the thriller genre, he has also connected with younger readers through the successful Alex Colt and Amanda Black series, which together have sold hundreds of thousands of copies.
